Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with robust mechanical experience, particularly in gears, pumps, and cylinders. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical troubleshooting using meter readers or devices and possess an understanding of PLC edits.

This role requires knowledge of electrical systems ranging from 480V to 120 low voltage, as well as experience with augers, mixers, extruders, conveyors, shoots, valves, photo eyes, sensors, and VFDs. Proficiency in MIG or Stick welding for fabricating and facilities maintenance, both indoor and outdoor, is essential.

  • Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Repair and maintain gears, pumps, cylinders, and related components.
  • Conduct electrical troubleshooting and repairs with meter readers or devices.
  • Understand and edit PLC systems.
  • Work with electrical systems from 480V to 120 low voltage.
  • Maintain and repair augers, mixers, extruders, conveyors, shoots, valves, photo eyes, sensors, and VFDs.
  • Perform safety checks and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct MIG or Stick welding for fabrication purposes.
  • Maintain facilities both indoors and outdoors.
  • Replace plumbing components such as pumps, hoses, and fittings.
  • Change out electrical wiring as needed.

Work Environment

The facility is enclosed but not climate controlled, and it is a very dirty and dusty environment. The role involves mixing, pouring, and curing concrete forms, utilizing large overhead cranes, boom lifts, and scissor lifts. Work may be required outside in the elements. The position is for the 1st shift from 5am-2pm (or 3pm), with longer days on Tuesday and Thursday depending on production pours, potentially extending to 4pm-7pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $62400.00/yr.
