This an unpaid 12-week program (May-August) offers practical, hands-on experience and facilitates the transition from the structured, clinical environment of nursing school to the comprehensive role of Registered Nurse. Working with a nurse preceptor, SNEs develop a greater appreciation and understanding of the true function of a registered nurse. SNEs will build confidence and begin to develop the clinical skills necessary to effectively perform procedures as a graduate nurse.

SNEs are paired with a RN preceptor to work side-by-side with them. Days of the week will vary across all 7 days as SNEs follow their schedule and work two 12-hour shifts/week.

Requirements

Must be within a year of graduating. For our 2026 program, one will have an expected graduation of August 2025, December 2025, or Spring 2026.
Current BLS certification
Willing to participate in an unpaid program
