Job Title: Paint Prepper
Job Description

Join our team as a Paint Prepper and play a vital role in preparing and applying paint to various surfaces. You will train and work on the day shift, with flexibility to complete an 8-hour shift between 5am and 2:30pm. A second shift is also available from 4:00pm to 12:30am, offering a shift premium.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare surfaces for painting.
• Prepare paint for application.
• Operate handheld spray guns to apply various types of paint.
• Operate portable powder coat equipment.
• Apply primer and other coatings according to paint specifications and blueprints.
• Disassemble and reassemble paint equipment for cleaning.

• Experience with painting, industrial painting, and spray guns.
• Ability to operate paint booth and powder coat equipment.
• Proficient in reading and understanding blueprints and paint specifications.
• Knowledge of primer application and paint preparation.
• Experience with sanding, polishing, and metal prep.
• Ability to maintain and clean paint equipment.

• Prefer two years of experience as an industrial painter.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs., with frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and climbing of ladders.
• Knowledge of painting methods is preferred.
• Fully participate in and support the company's Quality System.
• Perform all duties safely and efficiently, adhering to OSHA guidelines.
• Wear proper protective equipment as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bay City, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
