Low Voltage Cable Installation Technician
Job Description: Low Voltage Cable Installation Technician
A Low Voltage Cable Installation Technician is responsible for installing and various communication and security systems. This role requires technical skill, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and Route Cabling : Run, pull, and route various types of low voltage cables (e.g., Ethernet, coaxial, fiber optic) through conduits, walls, ceilings, and other structures.
- Terminate : Properly terminate cables with low voltage devices.
- System Installation : Install and configure low voltage devices and equipment, including surveillance cameras, access control systems and fire alarms.
- Safety Compliance : Adhere to all safety regulations and standards while on the job site. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following proper lifting and ladder safety procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Knowledge : Understanding of low voltage cabling standards.
- Physical Stamina : The ability to lift climb ladders and work in confined spaces or awkward positions for an extended period.
- Communication : Interpersonal skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Experience : Previous experience in cable installation or a related field. A valid driver's license is also necessary, as the role often involves travel to various job sites.
Salary Range: $40,000 - $60,000
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4pm
