Material handler needed for a manufacturing company in Jonesville, MI. This position is on 3rd shift but will be training on 2nd shift.

Material Handler Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $17.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• Third Shift ( Monday through Friday from 10:00pm to 06:00am )

• Training on 2nd shift (2PM-10PM) before moving to 3rd shift hours.
• Ensure all inbound material is unloaded, accounted for, stored, racked and properly tagged for production needs.
• Become well versed in usage of scan guns for material movement within plant.
• Ensure that all production cells are properly stocked with material for current production runs.
• Ensure all material is prepared for the next production run based on schedule requirements.
• Assist with the shipping and receiving functions as necessary.
• Ensure all necessary safety and preventative maintenance schedules regarding the equipment are current and correct.
• Might be required to be sure all products placed in the warehouse is properly weigh-counted, tagged and staged for shipment.
• Keep all aisles and thoroughfares free from material at all times.
• Empty all material scrap bins into proper material grade hoppers.

Material Handler Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, or material handling role
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Familiarity with inventory software and RF scanners a plus
• Steel toe shoes or boots are required.

• Applicant may be subject to a background check
