Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Newaygo that are seeking HR Managers. Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard, and retain skilled production, technical, and professional staff.
• Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary processes within a manufacturing plant.
• Ensure compliance with all labor laws, company policies, and manufacturing safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
• Develop and implement performance management systems tailored to production goals and operational efficiency.
• Administer competitive compensation and benefits programs for the manufacturing workforce.
• Identify and implement training and development programs for skill enhancement, safety, and leadership on the factory floor.
• Partner with plant leadership on workforce planning and strategic HR initiatives to support production targets.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in HR management within a manufacturing environment.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance management.
• Experience with full-cycle talent acquisition and retention strategies for a diverse workforce.
• Ability to develop and implement HR policies and programs that support operational efficiency and safety.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in a second language common in manufacturing workforces (e.g., Spanish).
• Prior experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Certifications in manufacturing safety (e.g., OSHA 10/30-hour General Industry).
