Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A fully credentialed Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to provide services to students in an elementary school setting. This is a 1.0 FTE contract position for the 2023-2024 school year located in Livonia, MI. The role focuses on supporting students' development in gross and fine motor skills through a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services to students in a school-based environment.
- Implement treatment plans focused on improving gross motor and fine motor skills.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Utilize teletherapy techniques as needed to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with healthcare and educational regulations.
- Support students in both healthcare and home health contexts when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Fully credentialed Occupational Therapist (OT) with state licensure.
- Experience in school-based therapy, including teletherapy.
- Skills in gross motor and fine motor skill development.
- Knowledge of phlebotomy is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively with children in elementary school settings.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
