Maintenance Technician Job Summary

We have an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician. You will handle a variety of maintenance tasks, respond to service requests, and perform preventive upkeep to minimize downtime and ensure everything runs smoothly. This position may involves working independently and as part of our overall team.

Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, and building structures
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other system malfunctions or breakdowns
• Install, replace, or repair equipment, fixtures, appliances, and components as needed
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency maintenance requests to minimize disruptions
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, parts usage, and work orders
• Lubricate, clean, and adjust machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Assist with facility improvements, renovations, or new installations
• Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies to maintain a safe work environment
• Order and maintain inventory of necessary parts, tools, and supplies
• Perform minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general facility upkeep as required
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or in a related hands-on role
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC principles
• Proficient with hand tool and power tools
• Basic computer skills for using maintenance software and email
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various environments (including heights, confined spaces, or outdoors), and stand/walk for extended periods
• Valid driver's license required
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work flexible hours (including on-call or overtime when needed)

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in one or more areas (e.g., EPA 608 for HVAC, electrical license, welding, etc.)
• Experience in property management settings
