Salary Range: $45,000 - $74,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate EDM machinery, including electrodes, fixtures, and workpieces.
• Load, verify, and adjust EDM programs (G-code) to achieve specified part geometries and tolerances.
• Operate and monitor EDM processes, adjusting parameters like voltage, current, and gap for optimal performance.
• Perform in-process and final inspection of machined components using precision measuring tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, machine alarms, and quality discrepancies.
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on EDM equipment, including cleaning, fluid checks, and filter replacement.
• Maintain accurate production logs, quality records, and machine maintenance documentation.

Recommended Qualifications

• Experience operating and setting up EDM (Electrical Discharge Machining) equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, depth gauges).
• Basic understanding of EDM principles, tooling, and common materials.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with CAM software for EDM programming.
• Proficiency in other precision machining technologies (e.g., CNC milling, grinding).
• Demonstrated ability to perform minor machine maintenance and advanced troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with CMM operation or advanced metrology tools for quality inspection.
• Knowledge of electrode material selection and process optimization.
