Job Title: Simulation Process Engineer

Job Description

This position involves conducting throughput analysis and simulation for new vehicle programs using Process Simulation or Throughput Simulation software through all stages of the Global Vehicle Development Process (GVDP). The role requires collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering (ME) centers to design and optimize current and future manufacturing systems, and to support plant throughput improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Implement simulation deliverables for assigned new or major vehicle programs.

• Conduct experiments and analyses, interpret results, and generate standard reports.

• Respond to throughput simulation requests from designated manufacturing facilities.

• Support ME innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Extract necessary inputs from Manufacturing Planning and Engineering documents.

• Collaborate with Execution and Process Leads to support the total plant throughput strategy.

• Utilize and contribute to the improvement of standardized work processes.

• Participate in the approval process for validating and refreshing Phase 0 Data Sets.

• Occasional travel (5%) is required.

Essential Skills

• 3+ years of experience in engineering or manufacturing.

• Basic knowledge of GMS principles and concepts applicable to throughput requirements.

• High level of communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects and assignments across plants.

• High level of analytical ability to solve complex problems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering.

• Skills in continuous improvement processes.

Work Environment

The role requires occasional travel, approximately 5% of the time. The work involves dealing with manufacturing processes and collaborating with various teams to enhance plant throughput strategies.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Warren, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $45.00/hr.
