Technician
Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Technician for an onsite position in Benton Harbor, MI.
- Utilize DDS software to analyze distribution utility poles for the purpose of adding grid modernization equipment or line rebuilds associated with distribution projects.
- Track due dates for assigned projects, and work with the design team and others like PM's or line coordinators to ensure designs are accurate and high quality.
- Uses knowledge and experience to perform cost effective work in an efficient manner.
- Exhibits understanding of pertinent equipment, material, systems, and processes.
- Possesses intermediate level of computer literacy knowledge/skills.
- Understands and works within appropriate policies and follows procedures.
- Provides training and guidance to employees where beneficial.
- Develops knowledge of time constraints for work activities and makes proper adjustments where needed.
- Actively seeks out information to increase technical knowledge and job skills
- Contributes to team goals.
- Demonstrates an attitude, ability, and desire to listen and satisfy both internal and external customers.
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Civil/ Mechanical Engineering Technology or related fields plus 2 years of related utility industry work experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of related utility industry work experience.
- This position supports the Michigan district and will require travel across the Michigan service territory. Overnight travel would only become a possibility during a storm if asked to support damage assessment, otherwise all travel is day trips.
- Experience in the electric utility is a plus, minimum associates degree preferred but not required.
- Must have a valid drivers license and will be required to utilize personal vehicle for daily travel when needed.
