Market Manager

Ozinga Bros, Inc.
Michigan
Overview:

Salary: $95,000 - $125,000 Annually

Location: Remote (home-based) in Michigan or Indiana | Michigan and Indiana territory

Ozinga is expanding its cementitious materials offering. In June 2025, Ozinga broke ground on what will be North America's largest low-carbon cement facility in East Chicago, IN. This facility will produce low-carbon cementitious materials, including slag cement and CarbonSense™ performance blends, to meet growing demand for sustainable concrete.

About the Role

Lead cementitious materials sales across Michigan and Indiana. You will own a defined territory, strengthen and grow concrete producer and contractor relationships, and develop new accounts within the territory.

You will serve as the primary point of contact for your accounts, bringing market insight and technical support to help customers meet performance and sustainable construction goals. Success means increasing volume and share, protecting margin, and delivering consistent, high-quality service.

You will report to the VP, Technical Sales and work closely with operations, logistics, and technical teams to align supply, quality, and delivery.

What You'll Do

  • Build and execute a territory plan to grow volume and protect margin
  • Strengthen relationships and develop new accounts with concrete producers, general contractors, and highway contractors
  • Provide technical sales support for cementitious materials, including slag cement and CarbonSense™ performance blends
  • Evaluate opportunities, review DOT/owner specs, and prepare bids and proposals through delivery
  • Coordinate with operations, logistics, and technical services to meet customer commitments
  • Visit customers and jobsites to support service, resolve issues, and strengthen relationships
  • Track competitors, forecast demand, and build a pipeline to reduce volume risk

What You'll Bring

  • Willingness to travel 50% across Michigan and Indiana
  • 5+ years of sales experience in cement, construction materials, or heavy construction
  • Strong knowledge of cementitious materials (slag, fly ash, pozzolans) and concrete performance
  • Track record of retaining and growing existing accounts while developing new business in a defined territory
  • Ability to review specifications and support bids and proposals
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and account management skills, including CRM-based pipeline tracking
