Salary Range: $51,000 - $78,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dimensional inspection of first article parts and assemblies.
• Verify part compliance against engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models.
• Generate detailed First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following AS9102 standards.
• Utilize a range of precision measurement tools, including CMMs, calipers, and micrometers.
• Identify and document non-conformances, collaborating with relevant departments for resolution.
• Interpret complex Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) callouts.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and ensure traceability of inspected parts.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated expertise in using a wide range of precision measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators).
• Thorough understanding and practical experience with First Article Inspection (FAI) processes and reporting standards (e.g., AS9102, PPAP).
• Strong knowledge of quality control principles, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills for identifying non-conformances.
• Ability to accurately document inspection results and generate comprehensive FAI reports.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso)
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or Certified Quality Technician (CQT)
• Proficiency with advanced GD&T applications and interpretation
• Familiarity with non-contact metrology equipment (e.g., optical comparators, laser scanners)
