Salary Range: $55,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC Swiss-type lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and G-code programs.
• Perform in-process inspection of parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
• Load raw material into machines and make necessary adjustments to tooling and offsets.
• Monitor machine operations, detect malfunctions, and troubleshoot or make minor adjustments.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines and tooling.
• Document production activities, quality control data, and machine performance logs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on experience operating and setting up CNC Swiss-type lathes (e.g., Star, Citizen, Tsugami).
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting G-code and M-code for program adjustments and troubleshooting.
• Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints, schematics, and GD&T.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, comparators, and optical comparators.
• Experience performing tool changes, offsets, and basic preventative maintenance on Swiss lathes.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with G-code editing and minor program adjustments.
• Proficiency in advanced machine setup and tooling optimization.
• Demonstrated ability in preventative maintenance and minor troubleshooting.
• Experience with specific control systems (e.g., Citizen Cincom, Fanuc).
