Electrical Fuse Box Testing Technician (Validation/Quality)

Summary

The Electrical Fuse Box Testing Technician is responsible for the precise execution, analysis, and documentation of validation tests on electrical distribution components, primarily fuse boxes (Power Distribution Modules/Junction Boxes) . This role ensures product safety and performance by conducting high-current, functional, and environmental testing in compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical, functional, and environmental tests on fuse boxes, relays, and components following detailed test plans.

• Conduct specialized electrical diagnostics , including continuity, voltage drop, and current draw analysis using DMMs, oscilloscopes, and regulated power supplies .

• Perform high-current overload and short-circuit testing to validate fuse/breaker performance and system protection.

• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications to accurately set up test configurations and troubleshoot issues.

• Document all test results, anomalies, and failures precisely in the designated data management system.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on electrical failures identified during testing and collaborate with engineering on corrective actions.

• Maintain and calibrate test equipment; ensure strict adherence to all laboratory high-voltage/high-current safety protocols .

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in electrical component testing (e.g., automotive, industrial power, or appliance).

• Required proficiency in using electrical diagnostic tools and interpreting technical schematics.

• Fundamental knowledge of AC/DC electrical principles and power distribution.

• Experience with thermal or environmental testing chambers (e.g., temperature/humidity) is a plus.

• Strong organizational and communication skills for detailed technical documentation.
