At Meijer, our Pharmacy Team plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of the communities we serve. As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll help deliver an exceptional pharmacy experience by assisting patients, supporting pharmacists, and ensuring safe, accurate medication dispensing. What You’ll Be Doing:
- Retrieve, count, and prepare medications according to prescription orders.
- Enter patient, prescriber, and prescription information accurately into the dispensing system.
- Create prescription labels and process insurance claims.
- Assist with ordering, receiving, stocking, and organizing prescription inventory.
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required pharmacy paperwork.
- Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to patients and promote pharmacy programs.
- Prioritize workflow to support timely prescription filling and excellent patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and professional pharmacy environment.
- Always protect and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, pharmacists, and team members.
What You Bring With You:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous retail or community pharmacy experience preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate data-entry and typing skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and reliability.
- Strong organizational and basic math skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
