This role is more than managing a store—it’s about building a strong, aligned team, creating a consistent and exceptional customer experience, and ensuring the location operates with clarity, accountability, and purpose.
What You’ll DoLead the BusinessYou’ll take ownership of the day-to-day operations of the location, ensuring everything runs smoothly—from logistics and inventory to inside sales coordination. You’ll connect the dots across teams, acting as the bridge between operations and outside sales while keeping the business aligned and moving forward.
You’ll:
- Oversee inventory flow including receiving, cycle counts, and order management
- Ensure strong coordination on open orders, returns, and direct shipments
- Monitor operational performance and use data to improve efficiency and results
- Maintain the facility, fleet, and equipment to keep the operation safe and effective
- Champion a culture of safety across all aspects of the location
A strong team is at the center of everything we do. You’ll partner with HR to bring the right people into the business and then invest in their growth every step of the way.
You’ll:
- Hire, onboard, and train new team members
- Lead ongoing coaching through regular 1:1 conversations and feedback
- Help employees build meaningful career paths within the company
- Coordinate product and installation training to strengthen team knowledge
You’ll create an environment where customers feel taken care of—every time. That means solving problems, improving processes, and staying connected to the community we serve.
You’ll:
- Resolve customer issues quickly and thoughtfully
- Support customer account coordination alongside the finance team
- Lead and participate in customer events and community engagement opportunities
- Continuously improve processes that impact the customer experience
You’ll have a clear line of sight into the financial health of the location and play a key role in planning and managing it responsibly.
You’ll:
- Build and manage the location’s annual budget
- Oversee spending related to facilities, fleet, and special projects
- Collaborate with sales and supply chain partners to support overall financial goals
- 3+ years of leadership experience in a retail or operational environment (building materials or trades industry preferred)
- A strong ability to lead people, build trust, and create accountability
- A customer-first mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Comfort working with systems like Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and ERP platforms (Spruce or similar)
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field preferred
This role blends office and on-the-floor leadership. You’ll spend time both at a desk and actively engaged in the operation—walking the yard, supporting the team, and staying close to the work. The role may include standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
