Job Title: LPN – Long Term Care

Location: Alma, MI

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts

Hours: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week

Start Date: ASAP

Compensation:

• Local Pay Rate: Starting at $33/hour
• Traveler Pay Rate: Up to $47.25/hour (stipend included)
  Compensation based on experience and eligibility

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide compassionate and skilled nursing care within a long-term care and skilled nursing facility environment. The LPN will support resident care through medication administration, patient monitoring, clinical documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will have prior long-term care experience, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively during night shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to long-term care residents in a skilled nursing facility setting
• Monitor resident conditions and report changes in status to the healthcare team
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Collaborate with Registered Nurses (RNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using electronic charting systems
• Support patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance standards
• Utilize independent clinical judgment within the LPN scope of practice
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff
• Assist in maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and supportive care environment during night shifts

Qualifications:

• Nursing degree from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program required
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on LPN experience required
• Long-Term Care (LTC) experience required
• Experience with MATRIXCARE electronic charting system required
• Ability to work night shifts including every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Comfortable managing nurse-to-patient ratios of approximately 1:18
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills required

Required Certifications & Licensure:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Current BLS Certification required

Additional Information:

• Blue or black scrubs required
• Pre-employment health clearance required
