Step into the field as a Field Mechanical Pipefitter – Industrial Utilities

Picture your day starting at 6:00 a.m., reviewing plans and laying out your cuts before heading to the jobsite. For roughly three weeks at a time, you’ll be on out‑of‑state projects installing and servicing industrial piping systems—then return home for about a week of local work before the next deployment. During out‑of‑state assignments, the schedule runs 7 days a week with 12‑hour shifts, and all travel-related expenses are covered. We have a strong pipeline of out‑of‑state work slated throughout 2025–2026.

What you’ll build

Our teams install and service process and utility piping for:

• Tower water and chiller water systems
• Pumping stations
• Compressed air lines
• Material handling systems
• Additional industrial piping applications

Your core responsibilities

• Install, service, modify, and repair mechanical piping systems, working extensively with PVC pipe and tubing
• Measure and cut pipe/tubing to precise lengths and angles using power pipe tools
• Thread and assemble PVC, copper, and black pipe
• Prepare, fabricate, fit, and install pipe per drawings and specifications
• Set valves, hangers, supports, and flanges according to plans and applicable specs
• Champion quality and safety, upholding a zero‑accident philosophy across all construction activities

What you bring

• 3+ years of mechanical pipefitting experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Working knowledge of basic construction codes and safety regulations
• Problem‑solving mindset and sound critical thinking
• Consistent, proactive safety habits
• Personal hand tools for daily use
• Excellent hand–eye coordination
• Clear, respectful communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to read measurements and apply basic math accurately

Physical demands

• Extensive walking in factory production environments
• Lift and carry up to 20 lbs. routinely, 50 lbs. frequently, and 80 lbs. occasionally—safely and independently
• Skilled, sustained two‑handed work
• Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding
• Comfort working at extreme heights
• Travel to assigned jobsites in state and out of state

Travel & schedule

• Out‑of‑state travel required; typical cadence is ~3 weeks away followed by ~1 local week
• Out‑of‑state work: 7 days/week, 12‑hour shifts; typical start at 6:00 a.m.
• Company covers travel expenses for out‑of‑state assignments
