Salary Range: $44,000 - $64,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Rockford that are seeking Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable for raw materials, production supplies, and operational expenses.
• Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing for manufactured goods and tracking customer payments.
• Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
• Process payroll for all manufacturing and administrative staff.
• Maintain accurate general ledger records and prepare journal entries.
• Assist with inventory valuation and cost tracking for raw materials and finished goods.
• Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax returns.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or ERP systems) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), cost accounting, and inventory management.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and data entry.
• Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a recognized bookkeeping certification.

Bonus Qualifications

• Knowledge of cost accounting principles (e.g., standard costing, job costing).
• Experience with manufacturing-specific ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Familiarity with inventory valuation methods and physical inventory processes.
• Advanced Excel skills for financial modeling and data analysis.
