AUTOMOTIVE PARTS PICKER

THE POSITION: Parts Picker/shipping receiving handles all duties relative to merchandise (General Merchandise and Parts and Accessories) receipt and shipment.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
- Proficiency with, or the ability to quickly learn, the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems. (Payroll: Reynolds & Reynolds / Ignite; HR Compliance: KPA / VeraSuite)
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- One year in a vehicle parts department preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handle all duties relative to merchandise (General Merchandise, Parts, and Accessories).
- Assist in the maintenance of inventory accuracy and control inventory related records.
- Assist with periodic inventory cycle counts as directed by supervisor.
- Assist with organization and cleanliness of inventory area.
- Complete all training as directed by supervisor.
- Follow policies and procedures as set forth in Employee Handbook. Any other duties as assigned.
- Fulfill orders placed with company.
- Read order slip, gather the appropriate items on that slip and take to designated delivery route.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequently is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach with hands and arms, take and hear.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
