Salary Range: $50,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive dimensional and visual inspections of first article parts.
• Verify part compliance against engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models.
• Utilize precision metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, calipers, micrometers, optical comparators) for measurements.
• Generate and complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) following AS9102 or customer-specific standards.
• Document all inspection findings, including identification and reporting of non-conformances.
• Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles during inspection.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to address and resolve part discrepancies.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proficient in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated expertise in operating various precision measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, CMMs).
• Proven experience in a manufacturing quality inspection role, with specific experience in First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong documentation skills for accurate record-keeping and non-conformance reporting.
• Working knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100) and relevant industry quality standards.

Bonus Qualifications

• CMM programming and operation experience.
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt certification.
• Proficiency in CAD software for design review.
• Experience with diverse manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, casting, additive manufacturing).
• Advanced GD&T interpretation and application skills.
