We are partnering with organizations in Jenison that are seeking Bookkeepers. Key Responsibilities

• Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Process payroll for manufacturing employees and related tax filings.
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with costing of goods manufactured.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and assist with year-end close procedures.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven proficiency in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Understanding of cost accounting principles, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Experience using ERP systems or industry-specific accounting software common in manufacturing.
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
• Prior bookkeeping experience within a manufacturing or production environment.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Epicor) common in manufacturing environments.
• Basic understanding of cost accounting principles, including COGS and inventory valuation.
• Familiarity with inventory management and reconciliation processes.
• Knowledge of fixed asset depreciation methods for manufacturing equipment.
