Salary Range: $47,000 - $67,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Grand Rapids that are seeking skilled Shipping & Receiving Clerks. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials, verifying against purchase orders.
• Prepare, package, and label outgoing finished goods for shipment.
• Process all shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by performing cycle counts and system updates.
• Coordinate logistics with freight carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
• Organize and maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the shipping and receiving areas.

Recommended Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a shipping and receiving role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment; valid certification preferred.
• Strong computer skills, including experience with inventory management or ERP systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate record-keeping and inventory management.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs regularly and perform physical tasks associated with the role.

Bonus Qualifications

• Forklift certification (e.g., OSHA certified)
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Knowledge of HAZMAT regulations and safe handling procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for tracking and reporting
