Gatehouse Security Attendant (3pm-11pm)

Allegria Village, a secure and welcoming senior living community in Dearborn, is currently seeking a Gatehouse Attendant to support the safety and well-being of our residents, staff, and visitors during the overnight hours.

This is an ideal role for veterans, retired professionals, or anyone looking to stay active and contribute to a meaningful environment where your attention to detail and dedication are truly valued.

Schedule:
Evening shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Weekend availability required (eligible for one weekend off per month)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and log the entry and exit of visitors, residents, and employees

• Direct traffic and maintain order on community grounds

• Conduct regular rounds of buildings and surrounding property

• Complete detailed incident and daily rounds reports

• Respond promptly and appropriately to medical emergencies

• Assist with safety concerns, minor security issues, and emergency procedures

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall safety and operation of the community

What You’ll Bring:

• 3+ years of customer service experience

• Valid driver’s license

• First Aid Certification (required)

• EMT experience preferred

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to stay calm and act decisively in emergencies

• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team

• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel)

• Excellent judgment, time management, and problem-solving abilities

• Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Education:
High school diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Frequent walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing/pulling

• Visual acuity including close, distance, color, and depth perception
