Position Summary: Interlochen Center for the Arts is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our team in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our accommodations. Nestled in the scenic landscape of Northern Michigan, Interlochen provides a unique and rustic environment where artistic excellence meets natural serenity. As a Hotel Housekeeper, you will play an essential role in ensuring that our guests experience the perfect blend of artistic inspiration and tranquil relaxation. This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our guest rooms, cabins, and Hotel common areas.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Perform thorough cleaning & tidying of guest rooms and cabins, including dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing, and replenishing amenities such as towels, toiletries, and linens.
Ensure all assigned areas are impeccably clean and well-maintained, contributing to the overall guest experience.
Respond promptly to guest requests for housekeeping services, addressing any special needs or preferences.
Cleaning and sanitizing common areas, such as hallways, stairways, and lobby areas.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor, providing assistance and information to guests as needed.
Collaborate with the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of cleanliness and contribute to a positive working environment.
Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Adhere to hotel policies and procedures including those related to privacy and security of hotel guests.
Performs other duties as assigned
Previous experience in hotel housekeeping or a similar role is preferred, but not required.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a courteous and service-oriented approach.
Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime based on business needs.
Ability to independently assess if cleaning meet ICA's demonstrated standards
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to promote and maintain positive interaction with all internal and external stakeholders.
