This position is located in Allen Park MI.
Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant I will be the face of the company at the front desk, greeting visitors and employees. This role will support the building departments by performing basic administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant I will oversee giving clients directions to various parts of the building, contacting employees regarding visitors, answering phones and taking messages, and sorting and distributing mail.
As an Administrative Assistant I, you will:
- Greet guests and employees and provide assistance.
- Provide excellent customer service, sort, and distribute mail, answer multi-line phone, and direct calls
- Complete general administrative duties including making copies, filing, faxing, scanning, maintain visitor log, post, and maintain conference room schedules.
- Utilize Microsoft Office to prepare, maintain documents and ensure supplies are ordered and maintained.
- Activate customer badges, take badge photos, request badges from facilities, monitor badge expirations and control employee and visitor badges to ensure appropriate access.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Assist administrative team with work overflow and act as backup for vacation and absence coverage.
To be an Administrative Assistant I, you will need:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of administrative experience
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Very detail oriented, effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Good customer service skills, reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel).
A successful candidate may also have:
- Associate degree in Business or related
- Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.
