NX Designer

Plymouth, Michigan | On Site | Full Time

$35 - $43 per hour

PTO | Paid Holidays | Benefits available Day 1

We are seeking a skilled NX Designer to prepare and support automotive and chassis designs of complex components and vehicle sub-systems for our client. This role requires expertise in Siemens Unigraphics (UGNX) and Teamcenter (TcAE) software to create math data files, assembly models, detailed drawings, and installation assemblies. The NX Designer will work closely with product design engineers and program teams to deliver innovative design solutions and ensure quality and timely performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create packaging studies, layouts, and engineering concepts using UGNX and MS software
• Integrate component and subsystem designs into complete vehicle systems
• Propose new design concepts based on guidance from engineering and design leads
• Prepare 2D drawings and installation assemblies (IAs)
• Mentor junior designers in preparing models and drawings
• Coordinate with interfacing design teams and participate in design reviews
• Support advanced CAE studies and resolve release system conflicts
• Collaborate with shop technicians and understand interfacing software for data sharing
• Keep managers and team members updated on progress

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or higher preferred
• Minimum 6 years automotive chassis-related UGNX design experience preferred
• At least 1 year experience with NX Check-Mate or similar operational environments
• Strong knowledge of automotive chassis systems and design standards
• Proficient in 2D drawing creation, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance
• Excellent visualization, communication, and teamwork skills
