Step into a rewarding contract opportunity for a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support high school students for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position offers the chance to make a real difference within an educational community near Ann Arbor, MI, while working a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Ideal for someone passionate about empowering high schoolers to reach their fullest potential, you’ll collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals, ensuring comprehensive support for students’ varied needs.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid and current OT license in the state
- Recent experience in a school-based or pediatric setting, especially with adolescents
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to fostering independence, inclusion, and student success
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to high school students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on IEP goals
- Assess student abilities and recommend adaptive equipment as necessary
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation of progress
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and resource staff
- Communicate regularly with families to support carryover of strategies
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing program development
