Job Summary

The Med Surg RN provides comprehensive nursing care for a diverse group of acute-care patients. This role requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and collaboration with physicians, ancillary departments, and interdisciplinary teams. Med-Surg nurses at the Detroit Medical Center play key roles in leadership, patient education, and ensuring safe, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – State of Michigan (required)
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
