Description: Join the highly motivated and technically competent High Voltage Hardware Team, tasked with the successful Electrification of future, Best-in-Class, military vehicles. Working in GDLS's High Voltage and Energy Storage Laboratory, the function of this position is to lead the design and development of a common suite of Power Electronics Hardware for the Generation, Distribution and Voltage Conversion of Electrical Power. Utilizing the latest technological advancements in semiconductor devices, gate drivers, and magnetics, the new hardware will improve the performance, efficiency and resiliency of electrical power hardware in electrified military vehicles.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:
  • Lead a team directly responsible for the design and development of the High Voltage hardware for GDLS's current and future platforms.
  • Manage cost and schedule across a number of programs integrating this high voltage hardware suite
  • Assist manager with resource allocation and personnel assignments
  • Responsible for the delivery of HV hardware products based on unique program schedules and quantity needs

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years related engineering experience
  • Strong Familiarity in Power Electronics Topologies, Design and Controls
  • Strong Familiarity in high voltage DC power distribution topologies, design, and safety protocols
  • Familiar with Hardware Realization of Advance Controls (Target Hardware: FPGA and DSP)
  • Experience with Inverter Power-Stage Design and Controls
  • Experience with Maturing Prototype Hardware and Controls Strategies to Production Levels
  • Experience with Power-Stage PCB layout
  • Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to effectively lead a highly technical team
  • As senior engineer and Subject Matter Expert, must possess strong Desire to mentor others
  • This position will require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance).
Ability to travel when needed, minimal travel required for this role.
