• Job Title: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – Locum Tenens
• Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan 49048
• Healthcare Setting: 3N Cardiovascular Unit (Main Cardiac Telemetry Unit, 54 beds)
• Assignment Type: Travel Nursing / Locum Tenens
• Start Date: September 15, 2025
• End Date: September 22, 2025
• Duration: 1 week contract
• Shift: Day shift, 1x12-hour (07:00 – 19:30)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1770 - $1820
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with cardiac diagnoses (heart failure, MI, stroke, arrhythmias, chest pain, and more)
• Charting System: Cerner
• Orientation: 16 hours (plus up to 8 hours of pre-start modules)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Michigan or compact state, or willingness to participate in licensure project)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry or Cardiac RN experience (1-2 years preferred; first-time travel nurses welcome)
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (pending certifications accepted if obtained prior to start date)
• Experience with Cerner electronic charting system required
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to float to similar cardiac units or affiliate hospitals as needed
• Strong professional conduct, reliability, and teamwork skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac telemetry patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer cardiac drips and vasoactive medications (including titration)
• Perform central and peripheral line care, phlebotomy, wound care, and tracheostomy management
• Care for patients post-cardiac procedures (angiogram, cardiac catheterization, surgery, TAVR, and more)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, rapid response)
• Float to similar telemetry or cardiac units as needed based on census and acuity
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system
• Complete required orientation and pre-start training modules
