Job Title: Administrative Support Human Resources

Job Description

As a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the National Attendance Program (NAP), you will ensure that the NAP, Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Medical Leave of Absence (MLOA), and tardiness policies are administered in accordance with the National Agreement, company policy, applicable regulations, company practice, and local contractual agreements. You will develop deep knowledge of contract language and systems necessary to investigate employee attendance records, create and publish daily progress/status updates to operations customers and UAW stakeholders, and conduct meetings to administer corrective action as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Audit attendance and tardiness timekeeping codes and correct/update employee records for personal days, bereavement, jury duty, military duty, FMLA, and medical leaves.

• Follow-up with operations customers to close out and report open and closed attendance/tardiness items.

• Serve as a subject matter expert for line management on attendance policy interpretation.

• Maintain all required documentation related to FMLA administration.

• Lead the 10-day quit process.

• Act as a liaison between operations customers, UAW counterparts, local medical department, and labor relations departments while building working relationships with all key stakeholders.

• Identify opportunities to streamline and improve attendance processes.

Essential Skills

• One or more years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.

• Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in human resource administration.

• Expertise in data entry, HR administration, and administrative support.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Experience in employee relations and HR support.

• Experience in onboarding and HR systems.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Wayne, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.67 - $23.67/hr.
