Call Center Representative
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Customer Service Representative to support a fast‑paced call center environment. This role handles inbound customer calls related to prior authorizations, general inquiries, and sensitive information , requiring strong communication skills, accuracy, and excellent attention to detail. Call volumes typically range from 50–100 calls per day depending on complexity.
This position requires the use of multiple systems to document information, research issues, and maintain high-quality service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a high volume of inbound calls and occasional follow‑up outbound calls.
- Answer questions regarding prior authorizations and general healthcare inquiries.
- Accurately enter and update customer information using multiple systems and applications.
- Maintain high levels of quality, accuracy, and professionalism on every call.
- Research and resolve customer inquiries independently.
- Follow compliance and confidentiality guidelines while managing sensitive information.
Top Required Skills
- Call center experience (high volume).
- Healthcare or medical industry background .
- Strong customer service skills.
Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of recent high‑volume call center experience (within the last 2–3 years).
- Stable work history ( no jumpy resumes ).
- Typing speed of 30 WPM or higher .
- Strong computer navigation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, metric‑driven environment.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and documentation abilities.
Additional Skills & Competencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask using multiple screens and systems.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain assigned schedule.
- Customer‑focused and able to handle difficult conversations professionally.
Training Requirements
- Four tests throughout training — must maintain an average score of 90% .
- Mandatory participation, note-taking, and completion of all worksheets.
- Mandatory overtime required during January and February .
- End-of-training shift bid based on test scores and performance.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plymouth, MI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
