Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A fully credentialed Occupational Therapist (OT) is sought for a 1.0 FTE contract position serving elementary school students in Canton, MI. This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' development by supporting their fine and gross motor skills through direct intervention and teletherapy services as needed.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering occupational therapy services within the school setting, focusing on enhancing students' fine motor and gross motor skills
- Providing teletherapy and home health OT services when necessary
- Collaborating with educational staff and families to create individualized treatment plans
- Maintaining detailed documentation and progress notes
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Full OT credentials and licensure to practice within a school setting
- Experience with both in-person and teletherapy delivery methods
- Strong knowledge of fine motor and gross motor skill development
- Background in healthcare and home health OT services is a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, families, and school professionals
Location: Canton, MI services delivered primarily within an elementary school environment
