Facilities Manager | Caledonia, MI

Salary Range: $84,000 - $129,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including preventive and reactive repairs for manufacturing equipment and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and building regulations specific to a manufacturing environment.
• Manage and optimize space planning, layouts, and reconfigurations to support manufacturing operations and efficiency.
• Develop and manage the facilities budget, controlling operational costs and capital expenditure.
• Coordinate and supervise external contractors and service providers for maintenance, cleaning, and specialized services.
• Implement and manage energy efficiency programs and sustainability initiatives within the manufacturing plant.
• Lead facilities-related projects, such as equipment installations, renovations, and infrastructure upgrades.

Recommended Qualifications

• Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and building systems relevant to manufacturing.
• Minimum of 5 years of facilities management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee vendor relationships effectively.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant safety and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrated experience in project management for facility upgrades and preventative maintenance programs.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Certified Facilities Manager (CFM) or Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification
• Experience implementing sustainable facilities practices or energy management initiatives
• Project management experience or certification (e.g., PMP)
