Minimum 1+ years Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school district in Dearborn, MI is seeking three paraprofessionals to join their team on an onsite, contract basis from ASAP through June 11, 2026. These roles involve providing 1:1 or classroom support to students with behavioral challenges, playing a key role in fostering academic engagement and positive behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructional and behavioral support tailored to students' needs in a 1:1 or group setting
- Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans effectively
- Collaborate with teachers and support staff to promote a safe and supportive learning environment
- Monitor and support student progress and engagement throughout the school day
Required Qualifications:
- At least one full school year of experience working with students who have behavioral challenges and special needs in a school setting
- CPI Certification is preferred
- Meet at least one of the following educational requirements: Minimum of 60 college credits Associate degree or higher Passing score on the ParaPro Assessment
- Must present an updated resume and two professional references from managers
Position Details:
- Location: Onsite within the district in Dearborn, MI (specific location TBD)
- Hours: 35 hours per week
