What your day looks like

You’ll prep, fit, and weld steel, aluminum, and Invar components into precision tooling that meets rigorous aerospace standards. Your tape measure and gauges are always within reach, your blueprints are marked with notes, and your grinder is prepped for final fit-up. You’ll rotate through projects, from lay‑up tooling to mill fixture builds, ensuring every part meets spec and schedule.

Core responsibilities

• Prepare, fit, and weld materials (steel, aluminum, Invar) for tooling and fixtures
• Interpret and fabricate from blueprints and build documentation
• Select and perform appropriate welding processes; set up equipment for production
• Prep, grind, and finish materials to tolerance
• Measure with tape and other instruments to ensure accuracy
• Support additional duties as assigned to keep builds on track

Skills and competencies

• 5+ years as a Welder/Fabricator in the Aerospace industry
• Working knowledge of geometric tolerances
• Hands-on experience with aircraft tooling AWS requirements (D1.1, D1.2, D17.1)
• Fluent in blueprint reading; strong math, verbal, and written communication
• Excellent organization and follow-through; deadline-driven
• Experience with ISO 9001 and AS91000 quality standards desired
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Compensation and schedule

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $18.00 – $25.00 per hour
• Shift: Day shift
• Work Location: In person
