Supplier Quality Director AMO
:
Delivery the SQ Strategy for GKN Automotive within the region. Support the development and cascade a clear vision for GKN Supplier Quality. Lead inspire and communicate to internal and external leaders across the organisation. Develop a talent plan and implement it to ensure the right capabilities are in place to align to and deliver on business and Quality strategic imperatives. Support the development of GKN Automotive Supplier Quality Standards to automotive industry norms. Lead development projects of IT tools to support best practice. Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators to ensure all projects are delivered on cost and no time to the highest quality standards. Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental issues are prioritized and drive continuous improvement across all Supplier Quality related areas of the business in line with the strategy.
Key Responsibilities 1 Responsibility for Supplier Quality activities for GKN Automotive with a region AP/EUR/AMO 2 Implement best practice Supplier Quality Vision, Strategy, policies processes and procedures to aid and improve business performance 3 Evaluate the challenges faced by the business and act to mitigate risks and development opportunities 4 Contribute to overall business strategy and annual budget process 5 Drive any necessary culture change and improvement in business performance to deliver strategic goals 6 Actively lead in the reduction Supplier Quality PPB's, Complaints, Warranty, recovery of Costs of non quality 7 Ensure flawless programme launch for new programme launches with a region AP/EUR/AMO 8 Support the development of a suite of world class IT Tools that support business processes 9 Contribute to new business initiatives and projects 10 Provide leadership to supplier quality teams - Coach, mentor and develop direct reports and manage high performing team that delivers continuous improvement, added value and cost reductions
Essential Qualifications & Experience BA/MS in Mechanical Engineer or related field and a minimum of 10 years quality management experience at director level or above with multi site responsibility. Appropriate qualification in supplier quality / quality management Considerable and diverse experience of leading a Supplier Quality function with a proven track record in strategic quality leadership Proven project management and quality experience Knowledge and technical understanding of automotive processes, components and manufacturing techniques Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements
