The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Coopersville that are seeking HR Managers. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for production, technical, and administrative roles.
- Manage employee relations, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance procedures.
- Ensure HR compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws, and industry-specific regulations (e.g., OSHA).
- Develop and implement training programs focused on safety, technical skills, and leadership development.
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and cost-effectiveness.
- Lead performance management processes, including goal setting, reviews, and development plans.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures tailored to the manufacturing environment.
Recommended Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HR Manager or Senior HR Generalist within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, OSHA regulations, and HR best practices relevant to production facilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and grievance handling for a diverse workforce.
- Experience with talent acquisition and retention strategies for hourly production staff and skilled trades.
- Ability to develop and implement HR policies and programs that support operational efficiency and a positive, safe work culture.
Bonus Qualifications
- Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and their application to HR processes.
- Experience working in a unionized environment and managing collective bargaining agreements.
- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish) to support a diverse manufacturing workforce.
- Demonstrated experience with safety program development and OSHA compliance within a manufacturing setting.
