Salary Range: $49,000 - $76,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Perform calibration and preventative maintenance on metrology equipment and gauges.
• Conduct dimensional inspections of manufactured parts and assemblies using precision instruments.
• Program and operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other automated measurement systems.
• Analyze measurement data, identify deviations, and generate detailed inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot measurement discrepancies and provide technical support to production and quality teams.
• Maintain accurate records of calibration activities, measurement results, and equipment history.
• Assist in the development and implementation of new metrology processes and techniques.

Recommended Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Metrology, Quality, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in operating and interpreting precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, optical comparators)
• Hands-on experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), including programming and operation
• Strong understanding and practical application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and technical specifications
• Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting of measurement results, including basic statistical methods

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) or Vision Systems.
• ASQ certification (e.g., Certified Calibration Technician, Certified Quality Technician).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Familiarity with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
