Your Role
 RPM has experienced tremendous transformation in recent years, driven by rapid growth in the freight brokerage market. We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our Accounting and Finance team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate and efficient cash application processes. The ideal candidate will be organized, analytical, and proactive in maintaining and improving the cash application processes. 
 
 
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely posting of daily cash receipts, including check deposits, to customer invoices within both the accounting and operational systems.
 - Investigate and resolve variances between invoicing details and remittance information, unapplied or misapplied cash, and any payment variances.
 - Communicate expected cash inflows with the internal team for cash flow analysis.
 - Collaborate with sales, operations, and accounting teams to ensure accurate invoicing and customer account maintenance.
 - Prepare aging reports and assist in month-end AR reconciliations and reporting.
 - Maintain organized supporting documentation of all payments and reconciliation processes.
 - Support audits and internal control procedures related to cash and receivables.
 - Cooperate with the Claims department on carrier collection processes including application, carrier audits and receivables aging.
 -  Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. 
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
 - 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Cash Application.
 - Strong understanding of accounting principles and AR best practices.
 - Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
 - Exceptional attention to detail, organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.
 -  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
