Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting and Finance Consultant to join our team for a long-term engagement. In this leadership role, you will oversee critical financial operations, reporting, and strategic planning, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Manage all aspects of the general ledger and month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

• Supervise the preparation and review of reconciliations, ensuring compliance with established policies and standards.

• Oversee audit readiness, addressing issues proactively and implementing sustainable solutions.

• Strengthen internal controls by identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective remediation strategies.

• Collaborate with the CFO to develop and execute strategic financial plans.

• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards that require attention to detail.

• Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and drive organizational goals.

• Address complex accounting issues, ensuring resolution aligns with best practices.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:

• Proven experience in accounting leadership roles, with a strong understanding of financial operations.

• Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement audits.

• Familiarity with BlackLine software for accounting automation and reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
