Job Description

We are seeking six experienced Pipefitters to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. This is a full-time, day-shift opportunity for skilled professionals who can work independently on medium-complexity projects.

Responsibilities:

• Independently perform pipefitting tasks with minimal supervision
• Read and interpret blueprints, pneumatic, and hydraulic diagrams
• Lay out headers and install SCH40 black/galvanized pipe, SCH80 PVC pipe, and L series copper
• Perform tube bending and sweating
• Set working pressures, valve sequencing, and hydraulic pressures
• Maintain J.I.C. pipefitting standards
• Ensure all drawing changes are properly marked
• Follow safety and environmental regulations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to quality standards and participate in continuous improvement
• Bring own tools and PPE

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• One-year certificate from a college or technical school
• Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and training

Skills:

• Proficient in reading technical documents and blueprints
• Strong understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions
• Comfortable with basic math, geometry, and trigonometry
• Effective communication skills for reporting and collaboration

Physical Requirements

• Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and communicate
• Frequently required to reach, climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
• Specific vision abilities include close, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and occasional electrical risk
• Moderate noise level in the work environment
