Sales Manager -Automotive Parts

Location: Novi, MI

Salary: 130K + commission

Travel: Up to 30% (Domestic travel to client sites)

Position Summary

The Outside Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with automotive clients, promoting our product lines, and driving sales growth. This position involves regular travel to meet with customers, identify new business opportunities, and provide technical and commercial support to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company objectives in the automotive sector.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities with automotive manufacturers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through regular visits, communication, and account management.
• Present and promote products, emphasizing technical advantages and cost competitiveness.
• Gather market intelligence on competitors, customer needs, and emerging trends.
• Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, logistics, purchasing) to ensure customer satisfaction and timely delivery.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and sales reports.
• Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry networking events as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of sales experience in the automotive industry (OEM, Tier 1, or Tier 2 level).
• Proven success in business development and customer relationship management.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to understand basic technical specifications and materials used in automotive parts.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically.
• Valid driver’s license.
