Headache Neurologist - Henry Ford Hospital (Detroit)

The Department of Neurology at Henry Ford Hospital is seeking a board eligible/certified neurologist with additional UCNS-accredited fellowship training in headache to join our multi-disciplinary neurology team.

With four UCNS-certified headache specialists, one physician assistant, and three dedicated Headache clinic nurses, our program has over 30 years of experience in the medical management of headache and migraine. Our busy clinical practice treats over 3,000 headache and migraine patients per year, including an outpatient headache infusion center and a procedure clinic offering peripheral nerve blocks and botulinum toxin injections.

The opportunity includes:

1. Teaching opportunities with medical students, residents, and fellows.
2. An interprofessional approach, collaborating with Otolaryngology, Pain, Neurosurgery, and other clinical teams that care for patients with headache and facial pain disorders. We also work with neuroradiology and interventional neuroradiology in managing patients with CSF leaks.
3. Research opportunities: Currently, more than 180 clinical trials are ongoing for neurological diseases. All centers within the Henry Ford Neuroscience Institute conduct research, focusing on translational research to accelerate scientific discovery from bench to bedside.
4. Tenure Track Academic Appointments are available for qualified candidates through Michigan State University College of Human Medicine & Wayne State University School of Medicine.

Qualifications - External

• Must have completed an ACGME/AOA approved Neurology residency program.
• Must have completed or be currently completing a Headache Medicine fellowship program.
• Current board certification is desired.
