FZ is headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan and is focused on serving customers throughout Michigan, Tennessee, and the Carolinas.
FZ is looking for aWarehouse Associate for the Kalamazoo, MI office. This role is responsible for the support of warehouse activities including cleaning/organizing, shipping/receiving, tool audits, deliveries, and any other tasks necessary to support field and branch operations. Some aspects of the job will be performed on active construction sites.

- A Cleaner & Organizer. You keep resources like materials and tools, as well as workspaces, tidy. You prioritize efficiency which means keeping the warehouse organized so you and others can locate materials and tools efficiently. And if you see a better way, share your ideas to improve processes and warehouse flow.
- Detail Oriented. You recognize that details matter. Tracking tools is critical to the execution of projects. Knowing what is where and getting it to the next project by the time it needs to be there, is energizing to you! Taking into account the functionality of a tool or entering that data into our procurement system, you have a keen eye for accuracy since broken tools and unnecessary mistakes cost both time and money.
- Customer Focused. Whether receiving materials from a vendor or helping our field crews, you jump into action with a positive attitude when approached. You proactively and effectively communicate with internal and external customers, making sure to cultivate a collaborative environment where everyone is respected.
- Reliability. People know they can trust you because you are dependable, meet deadlines, and can problem solve to get the job done. You are also able to handle the physical demands of the job. You enjoy being a part of a team, knowing the part you play directly impacts whether the team wins or loses. And sometimes that means being flexible and shifting priorities to meet the needs of the greater team.
Key Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license, valid chauffer's license, and DOT medical card - required.
- Physically able to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds and push/pull up to 40 pounds - required.
- Forklift and warehouse experience - preferred.
- Safety Awareness - required.
- High degree of accuracy - required.
- Basic computer skills - required.
- Verbal and written communication skills - required.
- Time management skills - required.
- Self-motivated and able to regularly work independently but also able to work effectively on a team - required.
