Job Details – Michigan Healthcare Jobs

• Location: Rochester, Michigan 48307
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based Cath Lab & Electrophysiology (EP) Department
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/4/2025 – 11/1/2025)
• Schedule: 4x10 hour shifts, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday
• Call Requirement: Scheduled call; one weekend (Friday–Monday) per month and 1–2 days of call per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2370–$2430
• Team Environment: Four-person team, three labs, 12–20 cases per day

Cath Lab Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience scrubbing in a Cath Lab, including diagnostics, PCI's, Impellas, balloon pumps, and peripheral diagnostic interventions
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Sciences program (Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Cardiac or Vascular Sonography, or equivalent)
• Structural Heart, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred
• Ability to work holidays and flexible scheduling (no block scheduling; limited RTO)
• Strong teamwork mentality and willingness to assist as needed
• Physical ability to scrub in a sterile environment, wear lead aprons, and assist with patient transfers

Cath Lab Tech Responsibilities

• Scrub in and set up tables for diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures
• Monitor and record catheterization events using Merge Hemo and Merge Cardio programs
• Recognize and interpret ECG changes, including lethal arrhythmias, and respond according to ACLS standards
• Calculate hemodynamic parameters, perform cardiac outputs, O2 saturations, and ACT measurements
• Assist with orientation and training of new Cath Lab staff
• Maintain high standards of customer service, communication, and teamwork
• Ensure accurate documentation of medications and clinical events
• Participate in special projects and relevant committees as needed
