Salary Range: $53,000 - $80,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve optimal value.
• Create, issue, and manage purchase orders from requisition through delivery and invoice resolution.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with production to ensure timely material availability while minimizing excess stock.
• Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers.
• Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and supply chain efficiencies.
• Proactively manage supplier performance, including on-time delivery and quality metrics.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in purchasing/procurement within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for procurement functions.
• Strong negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management skills.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, blueprints, or engineering drawings.
• Demonstrated understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and cost reduction strategies.

Bonus Qualifications

• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.
• Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
• Demonstrated success in cost reduction projects or value engineering initiatives.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings or technical specifications.
