Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Calculate material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs for manufacturing projects.
• Obtain and evaluate vendor quotes for raw materials, components, and outsourced services.
• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for customer quotations and internal budgeting.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and sales teams to refine estimates and resolve discrepancies.
• Identify potential risks and opportunities related to cost, schedule, and manufacturability.
• Maintain and update cost databases, pricing models, and historical data for future estimations.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, material costs, labor rates, and overheads.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience using estimating software or ERP/MRP systems.
• Excellent analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Bonus Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Excel for complex data modeling and analysis (e.g., VBA, Power Query).
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and their costing modules.
• Experience utilizing CAD software for material take-offs and design analysis.
• Understanding of supply chain dynamics and material market trends.
